Ratings are calculated from the printed nutrition panel using the FSSAI Indian Nutrition Rating method, but not endorsed by FSSAI. Not a medical or dietary recommendation.
"Low fat" can still be loaded
Claims on the front are chosen by the brand. Sugar can sit high in a pack that advertises something else entirely, and nothing on the front has to mention it.
Salt nobody counts
Sodium is printed in milligrams per 100 g. Working out what one packet actually adds to your day takes arithmetic most people are not going to do while shopping.
No fair way to compare
Two packs, two layouts, two serving sizes. Comparing them properly means converting both to the same basis, by hand, holding a basket.
What we do about it
Three seconds at the shelf
A nutrition panel is public information, printed on every pack. We make it readable, apply one published method to every product, and let you decide.
Scan
Point the camera at the barcode, or at the nutrition panel itself if the pack is not in the database yet.
Know
See the rating, what pushed it down, what lifted it up, and the full ingredient list with nothing hidden.
Choose
Put two packs side by side and see which one actually holds up, before you put it in the trolley.
